Support Social Good

Water touches so many parts of our human lives. From our houses to our beaches, there are tons of organizations working hard to make their community's water resources better and yes - they almost always welcome helping hands.

Here's what you can do...

Spend Time

Find your passion

There are SO MANY AMAZING ORGANIZATIONS around the globe that deal with different aspects of our water resources and you might be surprised to find how many local organizations are in your area! Even if your passion isn't within the water space, explore to find where your passion lies. Seek what sets your heart on fire and run with it (unless it’s literally setting things on fire - that’s bad for everyone).

Research local initiatives

It always astonishes us just how many amazing people are out there doing work in their communities. It's what inspired us to start Girls Gone Water, and we hope you can connect with the people and initiatives that inspire you through doing just a little research! Google it or ask around and be inspired.

Volunteer

Volunteering is not only good for the planet, it’s also good for the soul & your community. So many organizations out there are desperately looking for volunteers, as well as people who are willing to organize others in their communities to complete projects. Whether you’re volunteering on a one-time or on-going basis, your donation of time and skills will make a difference and help you connect in more deeply with your local community.

Donate

Give what you can

Whether it’s $5 or $5,000, your donations make a difference and enable NGOs to continue to do their work each and every day.

Become a monthly donor

Fundraising can be stressful for many NGOs as the amount of money coming in can vary significantly each month. By becoming a monthly donor, you help NGO staff be empowered to plan impactful projects and programs because they’ll know the budget they have to work with. It may seem insignificant, but even a $15 monthly donation can make a big difference.

Find alternative donations

It doesn’t always have to be dollars! Many organizations take donations of food, clothing, old cars, estate items, and more. Explore options in your area on the internet or consider reaching out to a local religious center to see what programs they support or recommend.
